Cutoff in Ranks is based on Historical data, And since your rank is pretty near to what the cut off is, you might get. It all depends on the demand for seat and colleges.

I wish you will get the seat by Casual vacancy round atleast. Don't lose hope.

Nitte Is no.1 in terms of placement record in south canara .Mite is no.1 in terms of infrastructure and regarding staff i went four times to get my last sem marks card so think and join!.I personally recommend nitte then its your wish you are the boss.

This list of TOP 5 is an outcome of a survey conducted by GETCET.in, based on the popularity, demand for seats, infrastructure, performance and placements in the south canara region. Thank you for the Comments, I also Congratulate you for the Rank you have achieved in CET,
Aeronautical Engineering is a great branch as you know and any one would love to do it, but its not suited for all, but only for those who are really passionate about that course.

Well in regards if you have that passion and you look forward to make a career in it you can go forward. But its not easy to get into this course as the colleges providing it are limited and do have limited seats. So you can still look out for the seat matrix, and decide.

For other Options in Engineering is Computer/Information Science, That's the best course which is getting jobs now and also looks good in future.

Well if you are also interested in Ayurveda, you can do it as well. But I suggest you to go for UNANI, or Homeopathic, where great research is going around and People do are moving for such kind of medicines.

hi this is quite encouraging n moreover guiding in a right way. well i want a little more of assistance. i have got a rank of 13072 in cet, i wanted to do aeronautical. will i get a seat in dayanandsagar or mvj? is doing aeronautical fruitfull. if not the above mentioned colleges can i opt sct? which one would be better doing aeronautics or ayurvedic? plzzzzzzz reply to fahmida09begum@yahoo.com

Well @Mvharsha736, if you have an option either CS or EC, choose wisely.. are you good at differentiation and integration and like deriving formulas and stuff, like the circuits and Maths.. GO for EC, and then the fact is to get placed in an IT Company.. at the end.. or rather take CS, Learn Logic apply it on Programming and see how you can make the dumb electronic device( computer) intelligent. Well no offence to any one who is from EC, and wants to join it.

Most importantly listen to yourself than somebody else.

All the best. I am sure with the rank you have got you can get either of the seats easily, but need to wait till casual vacancy. You may have to compromise the place, course, or college with the range of your rank. remember choice is always yours.

Where do you want to do your Engineering. I am sure you might want to do in some Place.
Well you can try for the best Colleges till the last round.

City of choice where you want to Study is also important.

hello Satish, I jsut tried out CET rank Predictor http://bit.ly/lA2TGW here. You may get around ranks between 40-45k, and I am sure you will get a engineering seat. Do not Loose hopes. You would get the seat, as i have seen people with 50k+ also getting seats in engineering. All the best.
